Just a few days overdue

Dear New Year's Eve Revelers,

I'm glad that you are having a fantastic time. It's nice that you are able to get together and party. But, please try to remember that not everyone is lucky enough to be able to sleep in tomorrow. Some of us have to get up and go to work, and are trying to sleep now. Some of us have babies that take military strategy to get to sleep, and have to go to work in the morning. Shooting off rockets is certainly a festive way to welcome in the new year. Shooting off rockets at 4 am, however, is a good way to incite your neighbors to homicide.

Also, do try to be responsible and not shoot those rockets off after tippling too much of bubbly. I would hate for you to lose a finger or 2. Actually I don't really care, but our hospital is already pretty overburdened. What with all the drunk, holiday drivers and all. And need I say it, don't get behind the wheel if you've been drinking. Please?
